Brewsvegas, Beers and Live Beats at The Old Museum

A night to remember at the Old Museum...

On Saturday 17 March, we returned to the Old Museum for our annual Brewsvegas shindig, to raise money for a good cause and celebrate a beautiful thing called good beer.

From the generous gold coin donations made at the door by the Brissy community, along with beer sales throughout the Brewsvegas week, we managed to raise over $10,000. We’re stoked to donate to the good people at Ozharvest - a nationwide food rescue organisation, who collect quality excess food from commercial outlets and deliver it directly to more than 1000 charities, supporting those in need across the country.

The doors of the iconic Old Museum opened up to a crowd of 2000 people on the closing weekend of Brissy’s beer extravaganza, Brewsvegas. Food trucks were prepped with good food, bars tapped with good beer and the stage ready to be rocked with a line up to get your feet moving.

From 5pm, the backyard party echoed with old and new school beats as the DJ spun the decks. Beer lovers, families and Brisbanian’s packed the grassy knoll for an evening of fun as the sun fell behind the historical stone building. Salivating smells wafted as food trucks dished out delicious eats for partygoers. Beer taps flowing with a selection of limited release and all year beers continuously poured to keep our thirsty drinkers smiling and the good vibes rolling.

By 7pm, upstairs of the Old Museum opened up for punters ready to kick on the night with some epic live music. Gold Coast Indie- rockers, Loose Leaf, took the stage to belt out some show starting bangers and get the crowd moving with surf flavours and garage beats from the longhaired lads, The Moving Stills. The Brissy crowd were now warmed up and ready for the headliner of the night...Bootleg Rascal burst onto the stage and the crowd cheer'd and fist pumped into the night...The party at the Old Museum was a night to remember.

Brewsvegas give us the opportunity to connect with our beer loving fans and give back to those that support us. Cheers to everyone that came out the our backyard party and helped us raise money for a great cause, share a few beers and get their dance’n shoes on. We look forward to seeing you all next year.
