Despite the cyclonic weather, we opened our gates to the community on Sunday 11 June for a night of epic music, local food, cold beer and community vibes.
Locals and beer lovers braved the rain and showed their community spirit supporting our annual event that celebrated the release of our seasonal Stone Beer while raising money for local organisations, Liberation Larder and the station that keeps us connected, Bay Fm
Combining the $1800 the volunteers raised on the door, we were able to contribute $8,861 to the two, not for profits.
Sheltered by a giant marquee lit with festoon lights and dome tents scattering the site, friends, families and kids big and small gathered, swaying to the tunes by Bunny Racket, MT WARNING, Your Mates DJ, Polish Club, and Kingswood while sipping back on this year’s Stone Beer; a beer that honours the old traditions of brewing and getting back to basics.
For those who couldn’t attend the sold-out event, Bay FM kept everyone in the local region plugged in with a live radio show. Liberation Larder rattled their red fundraising buckets, engaging in the spirit of the evening and creating awareness of their vital role in our own backyard.
We're so humbled by everyone who came out to our brewery despite the weather. Cheers to sharing a few beers, singing and dancing to some good tunes and enjoy delicious food. It was a night to remember.
See you all again next year!
