Yesterday our long time mate Paul McNeil, put the final touches and colour on our new brewery interior wall. With a spray can in one hand and a cherry picker control in the other, Paul went to work on the western side wall in our new brewery to add his signature flair by painting a line up of colourful waves.
We wanted to feature something special that represents our warm coastal lifestyle by a local artist which we've worked closely with over the years and Paul was the man for the job.
Dubbed the Major of Byron, Paul has created poster and album art for the likes of Beastie Boys, the Rolling Stones and Sonic Youth to lifestyle clothing brands Mambo and Deus Ex Machina. In 2015, Paul was among a handful of creatives we worked with on The Mash Collective, a collaboration brew with pro surfer Asher Pacey and restaurateur Jeff Bennett named Dead East Ale.
It won't be long now until we slide open the big brewery doors on Centennial Road and introduce our community and thirsty drinkers to the new Stone & Wood Brewery, Byron Bay...Our team is looking forward to sharing a beer with you all soon!
