Back by popular demand!

What better way to hail the warmer months in our new brewery in Byron Bay than with a resolute favourite… The Gatherer – and this year, we’re turning back to a fruity combination so refreshing it’ll make you thirsty just reading this blog post.

Back by popular demand, we’ve just released The Gatherer permanently in our Tasting Room in Byron Bay. Visitors to our brewery can now taste this seasonal favourite all year-round.

The Gatherer is thirst-quenching American wheat beer with additions of locally harvested watermelon, cucumber and mint – hello, summer – alongside tropical blasts from Australian Galaxy hops. A subtle swirl lifts malty-sweet and citrus aromas straight out of the beer’s hazy, pale yellow hue, while each sip captures clean, dry notes of fruits and mint with a delicate, spicy finish.

What’s in a wheat beer, you ask? This kind of beer features a generous dose of wheat on the grain bill, fermented with a ‘clean’ yeast that won’t give off banana-like qualities typical of Belgian or Bavarian what beer yeasts.

Smell that minty, watermelony, fruity freshness? That’s our Tasting Room, so get down there quick to taste your first glass of Gatherer for the year.
