Pilot Batches: Commitment to innovation & experimentation
CHECK OUT OUR BREWERIESIn our Byron Bay and Brisbane Breweries, our creative brew team get to turn their hand to beers that are a little outside the box in our Pilot Beer Program. Small batch brews, these limited releases allow our brewers to push boundaries and dabble with ingredients that aren’t on your standard brew sheet (think bunya nuts, toasted coconut, Lilli Pilli, lavender and coffee).
Served fresh in our Tasting Rooms, they’re an excellent reason for any beer lover to drop by if they’re in town.
For those out of area, we like to think of the Pilot Batch as a launching pad: if a Pilot Batch beer hits major success at one of our Tasting Rooms, we’ll often make it a national Counter Culture release which means everyone can enjoy the fruits of this great program.

This fourth iteration in the Kween series releases the shackles – dialling it up with the holy trinity of chile de árbol, lime zest and pineapple juice. Hops take a backseat as the Kween reminds everyone what happens when you hit pause on the rules of beer. A Spicy Margarita Sour, coming in at 7% ABV in true Counter Culture style.
